Hello,

We are trying to setup a ODBC connection to an Iseries and we keep getting an error message when testing the connection. I have contacted coldfusion support and them had me change the port number but we still get that same error. We have contacted IBM and they have had us run trace routes to see if we could find the holdup but they dont even see the connection reach the DB. Has anyone else experienced this issue or know of a solution?

I know nothing of Iseries, or setting up CFServer to work with it, but a quick Google search found the following:

I hope these are of use.

In the past, I had more success using the JDBC driver for iSeries than using an ODBC connection.  The jt400.jar driver file is installed when the iSeries client software is installed, so you should be able to grab a copy from an PC running the iSeries client.
