You can buy an update to the latest version, Coldfusion 11.

Update to a newer are version are not free, would be nice.

Build, develop, and manage rich internet applications | Adobe ColdFusion 11 Family

You can upgrade from version 9 to version 11 Standard or Enterprise.

When you buy an update you can install it on your webserver and it will recognize your version 9 and will transfer the settings to the new version.

You may update to 9.0.2, which is free, or upgrade to 11, for which you have to pay.

With the coming of ColdFusion 10 and ColdFusion 11, Adobe removed the files from the web. Contact Adobe Support and request the download location(s).

You can decide on upgrading to CF10 or CF11 based their below comparisons:-

Buying guide | Adobe ColdFusion 11 Enterprise

But i would suggest for upgrading to CF11 as CF10 installer was available till June'14.

You *may* upgrade to CF9.0.2, but this is basically a patch release to remove the old document indexing system and replace it with Solr.

CF9 wont be supported next year, so you should upgrade to 10 (or 11).

I hope someone (or I think its better all) should be fired from Coldfusion support. If a man can understang where and hog shall upgrade colfusion 9 he must be a genious. You must fire all the team that supports the product.

Hi Bonorum,

Actually ColdFusion 9 links were taken off due to its EOL .

It looks, you are unhappy with ColdFusion support, please let me know if you had any bad experience there so that we can help you for your concerns.

You can even email at  cfinstal@adobe.com  for your concerns, someone would assist you there too.

@bonorum,

Prior to ColdFusion 10, the security/bug fix updates for ColdFusion had to be manually applied through a rather painful process.  Adobe recognized this problem and implemented an automated updater system in ColdFusion 10 - so if you upgrade to ColdFusion 10 or 11, you will have this feature available to you.

As a service to the ColdFusion community at large, David Epler created the "Unofficial Updater 2" project (the one you linked to) to help users patch their ColdFusion 9 and ColdFusion 8.0.1 servers in an automated way.

Keep in mind, as others have alluded to in this thread, that ColdFusion 9 core support from Adobe ends on December 31st.  All ColdFusion users should be upgrading to CF 10/11 if they want to continue to be on a supported platform.  Once you upgrade, you'll have access to the Adobe's new automated updater system.
