Hey,
I'm looking for a consultation (also paid, as I've been struggling with the issue for a long time) on the topic of preparing Adobe Illustrator => PDF file for printing on RGB desktop printers.
In particular, knowledge of:
- Color spaces, color profiles, conversions and color management throughout the process
- Working with PNGs with transparency
- Maximizing compatibility with RGB printers
- Using custom ICM profiles for a specific Epson printer (L8180)
Specific topics:
- Setting up color spaces and profiles for my workflow and explaining to me like a child when and how I should convert between profiles and what to embed and what not to embed (digital illustration in ProCreate > Illustrator/InDesign for typesetting, > export to PDF >Print on RGB printers)
When my problem will be solved:
Creating a workflow (color space and profile settings, flattening, conversion) on a step-by-step basis in which the resulting PDF will print correctly on a cheap Canon Pixma printer in auto mode and very well on an Epson L8180 printer with an ICM profile done (this is the problematic part for me).
I can describe the issue in more detail or get in touch with someone for a consultation.
Help! I need to set it up right this time 🙂
Hey, thank you for your replies. I think I managed to identify the rootcause of the problem.
It was Adobe Apple Preview app breaking all results.
Now I will stick to using sRGB along the whole process, from Procreate to PDF and it should work!
I will take a look at articles you mentioned @NB, colourmanagement
Thanks!

I cannot delete topics, I had hoped some of the color management experts could give you some advice by moving this topic over here.
