As the title suggests - I am sharing (both with document sharing and desktop sharing from within Connect) a PowerPoint presentation, and my participants cannot hear the audio from an embedded video (mp4) in the Powerpoint. Is there any way to get around this? Am I doing something wrong? Other mp3s and even the audio from other mp4 videos play just fine, but not if it is embedded in my PowerPoint presentation. Any help would be appreciated!

Screen sharing will only share the image of your screen (and at a much lower frame rate than videos play at) so the participants won't hear any audio, unless your mic can pick up your computer speakers, and the video will be choppy.
If you have videos or audio embedded in your PPT content then they will only play back if they were inserted using Adobe Presenter. This is a plug in to PPT that Adobe offers. Otherwise, it may be easier to just upload the videos and audio to additional share pods and share them at the appropriate times. You can use a trick that is commonly called layering, to have multiple share pods on top of one another and then use CTRL + F9 to cycle between them or offset them so you can click on the edge of one and bring it to the front of the room. This trick is discussed here: Adobe Connect User Community
