I am setting up a new server to run Adobe Connect 9 and wish to
export the user list as well as user passwords from our old Adobe Connect 7
and import them into Adobe Connect 9.
Can this be done and how?
It would be disasterous to recreate the user accounts as well as assigning
new passwords to every individual users.
Thany you.

Yes that is possible you can go to your administration and users and group and export out a list of all users into csv format and then use the same for your new account but you would not be able to export passwords which is not a big problem you can create a generic password for all the new users annd give them all an option to reset password when they log in

You can export the Data Base though. Just make a back up of the DB and restore that and it should restore all the users with their old username and password.

I tried a backup and restore of the breeze database from the old server to the new one, restoring to a new database, and reconfigure Adobe Connect to use the new database instead.
However, after doing so, Adobe Connect cannot even startup. Looking into the breeze.log showed the following errors;
cps-startup (c) Exception thrown
com.macromedia.airspeed.StatusException$Invalid$Missing: <status code="invalid"><invalid field="pool-id" type="id" subcode="missing"/></status>
cps-startup (c) Exception thrown
com.macromedia.airspeed.StatusException$Invalid$Missing: <status code="invalid"><invalid field="host-id" type="id" subcode="missing"/></status>
I have to manually edit custom.ini and point it back to the original breeze db in order to recover the service.
Any idea what had went wrong?
Thanks.

I'll have to look into those codes to see if I can identify exactly what went wrong, but there is no reason that the restored DB wouldn't work unless there is a communication issue between it and the Connect server. I'd also recomend calling Platinum Support to see if they can help identify the issue.
