HI Adobe fans & experts

Mistakenily we gave a group of students the option to change their password on first time entry to Adobe Connect which caused confict with passwords (this isnt the problem) The problem is that when I attempted to override the exisitng users with the orignial password it didnt help... there passwords remained the wrong ones (the new codes they created as a result of the option to change the password)

According to adobe it is a server requirement not to use the same passwords as before, so attempting to change the accounts password back to the original wouldnt work ( even do Adobe's user upload said that the list uploaded sucessfuly) So I decided to delete these particpants in the hope that when I upload the CSV for the second time the original passwords would save. However this didnt work...

Does this mean the even if you delete a user the users still exisit somewhere?

Thanks all Hope you can help

There is no policy for using the same password again in Connect, not sure why you were told that. The issue is you can't update passwords with a CSV. You can send password reset links to those users or set temporary passwords for those users, through the Admin interface, and then you could login as those individuals and set their password to whatever you wanted/needed.

Well it looks like I may have to take back my statement on using old passwords. There is now (Connect 9.2) the ability to limit the ability to not reuse a password up to 13 prevous passwords. This option is under Administration > Users and Groups > Edit Login and Password Policies.
