We've discovered that there is no "logout" link or button in an Adobe Connect meeting room ver. 9.2.1.....
I'm not referring to Adobe Connect Central but rather the actual meeting room.
If I enter a meeting room using a username and password and then choose "Meeting" > "Exist Adobe Connect" my session (cookie) persists. If a second user attempts to re-enter the room using the same machine/browser there is no login prompt and the 2nd user get straight into the room but appears as the previous user.
The lack of a logout button or link is a security risk when a computer is shared by more than one user. This is now major show stopper at our University.
Is this a known issue?

I don't know that it is a known issue. More just the way that Connect has always been. If you are using a shared computer, shouldn't the browsers on the computer be set to clear their cache when closed? This would remove the Connect session cookie (and any other cookies you may have used while browsing) to ensure that the next user couldn't login as you.

Yeah, we've been using Connect for a long time and this issue only surfaced when we attempted to integrated with our new LMS.
Both you I know that this would be a reasonable course of action but we cannot rely on our clients (students) to configure their browsers to clear the cache or even know how to do that. If a student chooses to exit a Connect meeting they may be under the false impression they have been logged out. The risk of this ever happening is very low however, the ability for a student to un-intentionally impersonate another is a privacy concern.
We have very strict laws in Canada when it comes to the privacy of our students.
A logout button in the meeting room that destroys the session is all that would be required.
Thanks

This should be something that could be built as a custom pod. I'd reach out to eSyncTraining or RefinedData to see if they can provide a solution for an in-meeting logout button.

Hi Marko,
I believe that we can assist with some possible solution(s) here. Please contact me directly and we can discuss offline/outside of the forums.
Thanks,
