Who offers adobe connect enabled service? I'm thinking a "gotomeeting.com" or "livemeeting.com" model where I don't do anything but sign up, pay $20 a month, and that's that.

Adobe Connect comes in various flavors:
1. Adobe hosts it on their multi-tenant servers
2. Adobe Manages your single tenant server on the Amazon Cloud
3. Partners like ConnectSolutions in Washington, DC host it on their single tenant servers
4. You manage it by buying the Connect Server and run it on your network
Depending on who or what organization you represent there are various ways to obtain it. If you are a corporation or individual you can handle it online: http://www.adobe.com/products/adobeconnect.html
(you can choose the option). However, when you buy it direct online you get a 25 person simultaneous option as the default. Customers who buy Connect via the software channel get the 100 person in a room option and other options geared to large organizations. Adobe Managed Services (Amazon) can be arranged as an option as well. Partners such as ConnectSolutions can quote you directly: http://www.connectsolutions.com/
Universities can purchase through their Adobe Education Sales Rep. Large Government agencies can purchase Connect through their Adobe Government Sales Rep.

I am really confused as to what functionality is available if I sign up under the individual option.
I am using the free trial. If I purchase the individual option listed here
: https://service.acrobat.com/cfusion/bots/purchase/index.cfm
does it have all the same functionality that the free trial version has?

The account you can purchase at the link listed is for Meeting functionality only. For functionality beyond that, (Training Module, Seminar Rooms, Events, larger capacity Meeting Rooms, Customization, etc.) you would need to look at purchasing and annual account from a reseller.

Do you happen to know if the meeting functionality is the same as in the trial version? Meaning, the meeting functionality contains the same access to pods like poll, chat, whiteboard, screen share?
Does anyone know if there is a trial that is purely showing what the individual plan functions are?

The meeting functionality will be identical. The only difference is that the meetings will only hold up to 25 concurrent attendees. Unless you go with the pay per use model, and then you just pay for whatever is used.
Trial accounts will show full functionality of all the modules so you know what Connect can do.

Jorma--thanks. That is good info to know. I used to use connect previously, but now I'm at a much smaller company and we're just starting to try out virtual training.
It seems like it is very difficult to get information from Adobe directly unless one works for a large company.
