Presenter movie not shared in Connect 8

Guest

Added a mp4 movie to a powerpoint and published in Presenter 8 to Connect server. In the meeting the movie does not play when I tried to share it from My Content folder. The share pod is blank.

What is the problem?

Thanks!

Did you reveal the presnetation play bar (Pod Options menu for the Share Pod > Show Presentation Play Bar) and press play for the slide that contained the video?

Was the movie inserted using Presenter or PowerPoint?

Did you try adding the movie as an FLV instead of an MP4?

The movie was inserted in powerpoint and then the presentation was published to Connect.

I used your tip to insert the same video using presenter this time and published it again. It worked this time.

Thanks.

Glad to hear it. The short explanation is that the media inserted via PPT is a local file path call, which, since Presenter outputs suerver based presentations, they cannot make local file path calls (even if they could work). Always insert your media via Presenter.
