Problem with Sharing Sound w/ PPT Video

Participant ,

I'm trying to use "Screen Sharing" in Adobe Connect (instead of sharing a document) in order to share PPT's ability to use automatic captioning. (it works).  However, when I come to a video, which is embedded in PowerPoint, the sound isn't shared.

Is this a bug... should I be able to share my computer audio?  Or is this a limitation, where audio files can't be shared using "screen share".

it's not a huge deal, but I would like to be able to share my screen to show YouTube videos as well.

Not a bug. Screen sharing just shares the image of your screen, nothing more. It does it at about 3-5 FPS, which is also of importance becase the video in your slides is likely playing at about 30 FPS.

You should be able to upload MP4 videos to a Share pod and play them back synchronusly in the room. There is even a way to include closed captions, if you have the right files to go with the videos. https://www.connectusers.com/tutorials/2020/12/adding_subtitles_to_videos_in_adobe_connect/index.php

Hi, Jorma.

I understand, not a bug... but certainly a limitation.  Zoom and Webex can share audio when screen sharing.  They can also automatically create captions.  I'm not interested in creating my own captioning or paying for a third-party.  It sure would be nice for adobe to make this type of improvement.
