Screen recording works, but as soon as you select a video option the application crashes with an error:
"Application encountered an internal error.
If the problem persists, please report on product support forums or contact the support team."
It doesn't matter if we use the internal laptop webcam or a USB logitech webcam.
We have a valid serial number, but Adobe's website won't let anyone register a Presenter licence for suppport -- there are only options to register Acrobat and Premiere
I have an error log file
Help!

Same problem here - I have presenter 11.1 and I get the same error when trying to use webcam recording and screen recording. I am using Surface Pro 4 (with built-in webcam). Please help.

It is a known issue with Surface Pro (https://helpx.adobe.com/presenter-video-express/top-issues.html).
However, I have tried to get it to work on three different PCs with four different webcams. It just doesn't work. Same error every time I try to record with a webcam (or both).
It's disappointing. I bought this to convert my courses for eLearning. Doesn't look like this software will help.

We're having the exacct same problem. Presenter Video Express 11.1 will record in Screen mode, but if we choose Webcam or Both mode the application crashes on clicking the record button. Very frustrating!

I initially ran into similar issues with Presenter crashing when trying to do pretty much anything. The fix for me was to run it as Administrator. I am using Windows 10. If you right click Adobe Presenter in the start menu it should give you the option. I set it to always run as Administrator and have not had any errors since. I have not tried it with Video Express, but couldn't hurt to try if you haven't already.

Thanks for suggesting running as admin. Unfortunately, it still does not work. I just stopped trying to get it to work and bought another program with better features than Video Express.

I have same issue and was told to do this but I do not see that item in Preferences? Below
Was able to get a tech support rep on the phone ... this is apparently a known design issue that will hopefully be resolved with the next release. In the meantime, this also seems to be related to the Display Resolution selection. In Presenter Video Express, click on the Settings icon in the upper right corner, then Preferences. Select (or de-select) the 'Change Display Resolution during recording' option. Once I changed this setting, the issue went away, but now I can change this setting back and the issue is not resurfacing?

Hi, I had the same problem in my newer laptop PC with the client version of 12.0.2.170. However my older desktop PC with the client version of 12.0.0.117 works properly. I used the same camera in both laptop and desktop PC. Thanks.

Hi,
I am facing the same problem of Internal Error with webcam which you faced 5 months back with the presenter video express. I would be really grateful if you could help me out by guiding the troubleshoot process as, I suppose, you must have fixed it.
Thanks and regards

We didn't fix it, even after a call from Adobe Tech Support who suggested updating graphics drivers. We up gave up and used another product

I am having the issue of "Application Encountered an Internal Error" and the screen freezes when using the Camera but works fine with the screen. I tried all the suggestions in the forum but nothing works.

The best thing to try is to uninstall it, delete Video Express and go find a program that actually works.
This has been an issue for too many people. No one really cares enough to fix it. It was a complete waste of time and money.
