Hi There!

I'd like to use Adobe Connect with my teachers organisation to run teacher development webinars, but I have a few questions:

1) Can we use Adobe Connect for registration ahead of the webinar, if so, how?

2) If so, what details are requitred from guests to register for webinars? Does Adobe keep this info? Is it secure? How long before the info is deleted?

3) Can we use Adobe Connect to produce a certificate of attendance for registered users who turn up on the day and attend for more than 30 mins? Can this be done automatically, if so, how?

Sorry to ask so many questions.

Yes, you can use the Events module of Connect for this. It is included when you purchase a Webinar/Seminar license. There is also the option to puchase an Event Manager license to use with Meeting licenses, if you need. Talk to your re-seller about it. 

2) If so, what details are requitred from guests to register for webinars? Does Adobe keep this info? Is it secure? How long before the info is deleted?

You can define what questions are asked of the registrant. At a minimum, They will need to provide First and Last Name and an Email. Everything beyond that is your choice. This information remains part of your account, but isn't information that Adobe accesses or uses. Content or information in Connect is retained until you delete it or the account is deactivated. All data in motion is encrypted in the Hosted environment, not sure about data at rest. 

3) Can we use Adobe Connect to produce a certificate of attendance for registered users who turn up on the day and attend for more than 30 mins? Can this be done automatically, if so, how?

The short answer is no. I suppose there could be something developed that calls an attendance report from Connect once the session is done and then generates a certificate based on time attended, but it would be a custom application.
