I'm having this exact same problem. Has anyone been able to resolve it?

System Preferences is a pretty general term. Any chance you can give more detail on when this happens?

What version of Connect?

What version of your Connect Add-in?

Are you doing desktop, windows or application sharing?

Screen shot of the System Preferences menu that comes up?

Any other details of relevance?

I assume you are also on OSX 10.9?

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Add-in?

We're hosted on adobeconnect.com and it looks like we're on version 9.0.

The "Security and Privacy" system preference window pops up whenever trying to share a window or application. As soon as the radio button for window or application is clicked, that's when it pops up. When it's closed, the screen sharing dialog is gone.

Here is a screen shot

Sounds like Apple changed something in the security settings in 10.9. Adobe may have a solution for it, though I don't see any published documentation. I've not tried doing application or windows sharing on my OS X 10.9 computer, but will try to find time for that soon and see if I see the same issue.

I would try uninstalling and reinstalling the Add-in. You can also look at doing the steps listed here, http://helpx.adobe.com/adobe-connect/kb/connect-add-in-osx-mavericks-109.html, but I don't know that this problem is related to that article. Just a shot in the dark really.

FYI, you can find the exact version of your Connect deployment by mousing over the Help link on the login page or by putting version.txt after your URL. For example http://realeyesconnect.adobeconnect.com/version.txt, though that option is a little less clear.

Thank you. I'll ask the person with the OS X system to try that, and for more information.
