Our organisation is looking at using Adobe Connect for a range of remote learning activities. One activity involves more than one speaker either reading or singing at the same time. Can Adobe Connect handle this, or is there noise suppression for all but the main speaker at any one time? Participants would all be located in New Zealand.

Yes, you can do this with the internal video pod (signing) and the built in VoIP feature, or an integrated phone bridge. If the built in video pod doesn't have a high enough quality for signing you can look to leverage the Master Video Conroller to change the video settings in the video pod, or you can look to an external video pod like Talking Stick.
As to audio controlls, what do you mean by noise suppression for all but the main speaker?

Thanks for your reply. In terms of noise suppression I simply meant that with a programme such as Skype, other speakers sound is suppressed when one person is speaking.

Ah, Connect does do that in the VoIP functionality, but you should go into the Audio Preferences (Meeting > Preferences > Audio) and choose the Speex audio codec. It will force everyone to install the Connect Add-In, but it does the best noise suppression for non-speaking participants if you are going to have everyone using a hot mic.
