Speakers out of sync in a recording

In a recent recording, there is a problem where one the recording one speaker will start answering a question before the other speaker even asked it, and speaking over the other speaker (this is not the order it happened in the original meeting!)  Does anyone know why this may have happened?  Is there a way to prevent it happening in the future?  And is there possibly a way to fix the recording?  Thanks for any help you can offer.

You may want to try using the tool found here: Re: Problems for download Recording Repair Assistant

To download the source files of your recording add /output/Name.zip?download=zip to your recording URL. Then use the repair tool on the downloaded zip file. Upload the fixed zip to the Content section of Connect and see if that fixed the recording.

The fixed recording will have a new URL (you can make it a custom URL when you upload it!) and will be separate from the original.

Adobe is also offering to fix out of sync recordings.  You can call the support line at 800-422-3623.  Give them the url and they will work on fixing it.
