Start WebCam but no video at all

I'm using Connect 8.

When I click start my webcam, I can see the video in the preview block. But when I click "Start sharing", I got a black screen, no video, but audio is heard.

The video source is a camcorder, connecting to a capture card(AVerMedia C027) through HDMI.

This problem occurs recently. I can normally broadcast video and audio last week, using the same computer.

How can I solve this problem?

we have about 30 users on the connect platform for running online classes.

over the past two weeks, i have noticed increased complaints about this issue.

e.g. "Start my webcam, preview is fine, share shows a black rectangle. Also, confirmed from the participant side that they, too, are seeing a black rectangle."

all of us are using logitec webcams.

turning off webcam via connect and restarting via connect is useless.

this is clearly not the best solution, but we have taken to ripping the camera out of the usb port, then plugging it back in a few (2, 3?) seconds later. this will work until we fry the usb connectors, or adobe ids the probloem and patches it.
