I would like to do two distinct things at two different
times: 1) compare info simultaneously using acrobat professional
7.0 from two separate pdfs.; 2) create two applications of acrobat
professional (similar to Microsoft Word) on one screen so all I
have to do to access the other pdf is by clicking on the bottom bar
of Windows

I had the opposite problem. On the Menu Bar and click on
EDIT, then click oon PREFERENCES. A box will open and in the left
hand column click on DOCUMENTS. You will then see various choices
you can click on the right part of the box. In my version, clicking
the first box would have resolved your problem (and remember to
restart your program after completing).
