Unable to duplicate events on connect? "Request Not Processed" - Massive time waste!

I am in the process of  updating the calendar of events that we host for our clients 3 times a week to train them on our accounting software.

When I attempt to duplicate the event when I press save I always get an error message "Request Not Processed"

"The system was unable to process your request.

For further assistance, please check out the Adobe Connect support centre or contact Adobe Connect support. "

This is of course a huge pain, it means every single event must be manually created, and have all the information copied and pasted across.

Obviously this is not a good use of my time, does anyone have any suggestions as to what the issue is or how it can be fixed?

Many Thanks

Richard Vaughan

This could be related to some permission issue with the associated content of the event.

Please check whether the content associated with the event is shared or private.

For duplicating a shared event (which has a private content associated), a user can duplicate such an event only when user has permission over the associated private content.

Thanks,

Hi Nitin

I am afraid this is not the cause of the issue.

None of the content is private.

Any other ideas.

This sort of makes the product useless for us.

Also the reports do not seem to work?

I select a report for a meeting room, I want to see the total list of attendees but nothing shows up.

The same report worked fine a week or so ago, but now nothing.....

Thanks

Hi Richard,

In order to understand what's happening here (since the "Request Not Processed" error is generic and doesn't really tell us what's going on), add &mode=xml at the end of the string in your address bar while on the page before duplicating your event, and hit enter. The page should refresh and show a white box at the bottom of the screen with some XML data in it. Now try duplicating the event- the white box should show the full, exact error message behind "Request Not Processed".

Also, this used to happen when you duplicated an event which was in some way broken - eg, the Meeting room or Content the source event is linked to was deleted.

Thanks!

I am having this duplication issue still. I can duplicate events but once duplicated I cannot edit any details. When I edit and click save, I get the 'request not processed' error page. This error occurs across multiple rooms and content - none of which has been deleted.

After running &mode=xml, I have the error xml data. I have run it through Notepad++ to identify the erroneuos lines and have found a few issues. How does this get fixed?

XML error report attached for guidance.

Thanks in advance.

The only part of that XML that is related to the error is:

<status code="internal-error">
<exception>java.lang.NumberFormatException: For input string: ""</exception>
</status>

Looks like there may be a field that is required with no data in it. But that is just a shot in the dark.
