I trialed Adobe Acrobate pro 8.1 and found joboption PDF/X1a:2001 but I bought standadard version and it only had PDF/A-1b:2005. What is the differences and is there a way to download PDF/X1a:2001 someplace.

The PDF/X1a is an archive format standard of a PDF and not product.

Try asking your question in the Acrobat Windows or Acrobat Macintosh forum, as these forums deal with the Acrobat Standard of Professional products and not the conferencing product Acrobat Connect.
