Someone mentioned Adobe Connect

Comparing Connect to Moodle is kind of like Apples to Oranges. It may be a question better answered off forum.
Feel tree to email me jorma[at]realeyesconnect.com and we can talk about your needs vs. what Connect can deliver, and then you may have a better picture of Connect vs. Moodle.

Apples and oranges
What are the pros and cons for each, if they are so different?
Pros for Adobe Connect, set up cost and ease of use
Con for Adobe Connect (perhaps), lack of flash support on android platform
Pro for Noodle, lots of interactive functionality
Con for Noodle, set up costs
I just need an honest short overview of each to make a comparison

There are free mobile apps for Adobe Connect which allow you to participate in meetings from any Android, Blackberry or iOS device.

Appreciated - I will download and take advantage of the 30 day Adobe Connect free trial
However, have seen many complaints re compatibility issues on numerous devices, whilst this isn't unique to Adobe Connect, perhaps the biggest pro for Moodle over Adobe Connect?
Still unconvinced either way

Moodle is an LMS, Connect is a web collaboration platform. So that is why it is like comparing apples and oranges. The two platforms do different things.
For the live portion of Connect, meetings can be joined via PC, Mac, Linux, iOS device or Android. All of this is listed on the Tech specs page for Connect: http://www.adobe.com/products/adobeconnect/tech-specs.html
For on-demand content, Connect works like a media server. It accepts and delivers any object in the following formats: *.ppt, *.pptx, *.flv, *.swf, *.pdf, *.gif, *.jpg, *.png, *.mp3, *.html, *.mp4, *.f4v or *.zip (of the aforementioned file types). Other file types can be uploaded to the server through a meeting's File Share function, and then delivered as an object for download outside of the meeting, if needed.
Content tracking will show number of views, slide views (if applicable), and how questions were answered (if applicable). There is no user specific tracking.
Training Courses and Curriculum will track the above mentioned items as well as individual who viewed it, the individuals answers, and their pass/fail status.
Since they are not comparable products, it's hard to have list of pros and cons between them.
If you want to get a good comparison between them, I'd recomend reaching out to one of the partners that does Connect-Moodle integration, as they will have the best handle on a feature comparison.
Two companies come to mind:

Thanks, again, for this
Using Moodle or Adobe Connect to manage courses looks like it can be done. Moodle seems better suited for protracted complex courses but Adobe Connect could manage less complex courses . as long as individual tracking wasn't an issue
There is lots for me to look at and consider
Thanks again for the advice
