Wireless Pointers

I cannot get a wireless pointer to work in Adobe Connect uploaded content. I have PowerPoints that I load into my Content and then when I open the document the wireless pointer won't move the slides forward or back. My only solution right now is to not upload the powerpoint into the content library and just share my desktop. I am using the Logitech Wireless Presenter R400, but I have tried other brands as well and it still wont work!

I have Adobe Connect Pro 9!

Thanks!

This is a problem for me, as well. One workaround is to use an Air Mouse (by Gyration) that lets you click the right/left arrows to change slides. It's impractical to teach a guest presenter to do this comfortably, but just a bit annoying for a regular presenter. You'd think there would be a programmable pointer, but I haven't seen one. This one looks promising, and one reviewer said it worked with Flash presentations. http://www.cdw.com/shop/products/Tripp-Lite-Keyspan-Wireless-Presentation-Remote-Pro-w-Laser-Mouse-A...

I'll try to buy one and psot here when I've done testing with Adobe Connect, but it usually takes a few weeks to get things in my organization.

I sometimes use my smartphone as "pointer" to move slides. I use the Connect Mobile app. on my Samsung Galaxy > log-in as Presenter in the same meeting room. Then I can walk around moving slides from my smartphone. Quite expensive if you don't have a smartphone, but if you have a one - it's free. It works - and you will be able to move slides from anywhere in the auditorium.

Thank you both for the feedback! I never would have thought of either! I wish there was a pointer that worked hand-in-hand with Connect, but these are good workarounds in the meantime!
