Adobe connect not loading

Hi.
I'm a student and have been running adobe connect since september last year without any problems.
Then yesterday I suddenly couldnt enter any rooms anymore.
When clicking the link to my classroom, the popup window opens as usual but it stops there. As a small white frame.
Right clicking in it gives the message "movie not loaded..."
I've tried both FF and IE. upgraded flash without any effect. Reboot didn't fix it either.
I have not installed any new graphics drivers since this probem occured.
One of my class mates also got this problem just yesterday. We had a meeting last friday and then it was working 100%.
Any ideas?

I have the same problem. The small window apears, then becomes empty inside and nothing happens.
After long searching and reading possible solutions I have narrowed it to the Connect addin. If I uninstall the addin, I manage to get in a meeting. Reinstall the addin, again cant. Tried on other computers (3 of them), and it works fine. Another point to add is that I installed Flash player 10.0.45.2 last week and since then I couldnt connect. I managed to restore (via system restore) to version 10.0.42.34 and still no luck. There seems to be a problem to make the addin connect to adobe servers (I know that because I used a software to see currect connections and compared all my computers to the problematic one). All my working computers have the same version of connect addin 9.3 r110.
I dont have port 1935 blocked, there seems to be a problem for the addin to connect to that port.
I will continue trying, and hopefully somebody can assist with the issue.
My operationing system:
Windows 7 Ultimate x64
Thanks in advance

Thanks, that solved it. Though I prefer running it with the plugin.
I too have Win 7 64-bit.

I am happy to help but I still have the problem of not connect when addin installed. I need the addin very much.
Still waiting for help.
Update:
Tried now at home with Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit. A computer that havn't seen Connect pro in it's life. Fresh install of the addin on an already installed flash player 10.0.45.2. More and more I start to think it is related to the flash player version
Update 2:
After digging very deep into what exactly is going on when the addin is initializing, using a process viewer and the Windows Firewall activity log, I saw that when the addin tries to connect to Adobe, it automatically requests port 443 (SSL Connection). I have a hosted account and the option "Require SSL connection" is disabled. Nevertheless, automatically when connecting to my admin page, it switches the connection to SSL (instead of http://.... it has https://....). It doesn't even try to run a 1935 port connection and then SSL. Goes directly to SSL.
The solution was of course to remove the "s" from https and it worked. 2 days of searching came up to this one letter. Today I am going to call support and report this thing.
Why does it block SSL connection on my PC, I have no idea. It worked perfectly last week.
I have not installed anything new on my PC, besides updating to the newer flash player on Friday.

Hey connectflusher,
Thanks for your update, I managed to use add-in with your solution. Did you report that issue? How can we solve this problem completely? Adobe should do something, I think.
See ya,

Hi Eray,
I managed to find the solution for this problem about a week ago. Apperantly my NOD32 antivirus was blocking the SSL port (443) by default (in the newest version of nod32 you have to add certificates so it wont filter this port). I disabled this blocking and everything started working like charm.
So actually there is no problem with the Add-on itslef besides that fact that it tries to connect in SSL mode (https) when I have this option clearly disabled in my account. Furhtermore it is suppose to try port 80 if 443 is not working, what is clearly not happening.
I did not report this issue, but posted the same problem in another forum of connect users.
Regards
