Apps won't open no internet

I was unable to access an app that I have a subscription to because it could not be verified, not connected to internet.

This is simply unaceptable! Why am I required to be connected to the internet just to use something I have paid for? There are times when one may not be able to get internet connectivity while needing to use an app. You have to have realized this, no?

adobe connection errors are common and are not related to whether you're connected to the internet.  they're related to connecting to adobe's secure servers.

if you have a non-current os, your default browser must support tls 1.2, https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/multi/eol-tls-support.html

to test your default browser's tls you can use , https://clienttest.ssllabs.com:8443/ssltest/viewMyClient.html

otherwise, confirm that you can connect to the secure adobe servers by reading, http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/activation-network-issues.html

do you see both logos after clicking "link"?

if you can and still see a connection error try these steps, https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/common-network-connectivity-issues.html

if those all fail, white list the adobe network endpoints, https://helpx.adobe.com/enterprise/kb/network-endpoints.html

or, if you’re trying to activate a perpetual license, you can try offline activation by disconnecting your computer from the internet, starting activation and using https://aoes-stage.licensingstack.com/aoes/aoes/v1/imsauthstatus

I just recently had this happen as well.  It is not ok.   Adobe, is this a new setting now? there are occasionally times when the internet is out.  This was never a setting before, I hope it's not now.  ?

there's always been a requirement to connect, at least intermittantly, to the internet to confrim a valid subscription.  and for many years it's been unreliable to depend on being able to open adobe apps even after recent validation.

i recommend, when a loss of internet is predicable and adobe apps will want to be used (eg, when traveling), that while connected to the internet you open all apps you might want to use and minimize (do not close) them.
