Lightroom Classic crashes my imac multiple times per day. Help.

Lightroom Classic is crashing my imac (3.8 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i7 with 32 gigs RAM) frequently. This is a fairly new phenomenon. I've looked online and tried what I've was seen to optimize. I know in the Activity Monitor that the %CPU often goes to 600% for LRC when in use. I've turned off all other intensive memory processes, photo syncing, etc. Still green screen of death several times per day.  Any guidance is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

use the desktop app to uninstall your preferences by uninstalling and opting to remove preferences, too.
