Does anyone else hate Adobe? I find their constant big brother spying very intrusive! I detest their constant sign on policy that NEVER EVER SEEMS TO WORK CORRECTLY! I absolutely hate that they constantly take away that which we love and which works well for us! Would I recommend them? NO NO & NO! I'd be gone if I could find a replacement!

there's a lot to dislike, but your overstatements aren't persuasive.

adobe app installations (with files installed in many locations)

adobe background processes (which are difficult to control)

adobe cc storage "organization" (which is so disjointed it's hard for me to imagine what adobe developers were thinking)

adobe contract terms could easily be more forthright.

adobe contact renewals should be more forthright

adobe plan cancellations should easier accomplish

how to contact  adobe support should be easier to find

adobe website "organization" pretty similar to cc file storage "organization"

etc

Yeah reading this string at first was confusing...I think many of us feel like adobe not only bait-and-no-switch (high ball low ball? but you never hear the low ball?). The problems are so protean it's hard to list and when YOU did after their reply that was super helpful. But while I ended my "rant-like" description of the problem with "here's what I expect/ed and what this SHOULD be as they are claiming." Again I think there's an expert issue in this is so known that it's implicit amongst those who know without realizing it. But your "there's a lot to dislike" was the hook to help bring us all together a bit here..which I wanted to appreciate up here too.

Hi,

What in particular do you not like? Adobe is quite open in terms of suggestions for improvement. But one must also not forget that what might be important for a single person or a rather small group might not be decisive for the large crowd.

And as always there will be plenty of Alternatives. Its your own choice.

regards,
Henrik

otoh, there's a lot to like about adobe:

adobe scan on my mobile is the best app (not just the best adobe app) i've ever used and continue to use.  for me, it's amazing in what it does, how easy it is to use, and how much i use it.

adobe flash and now animate is an amazing app that has so much functionality.

adobe captivate is great for making demo videos (the only thing i've used it for).

adobe audition is terrific for editing sounds

in recent months, adobe support has been much more understanding with adobe customers making it a pleasure helping users contact adobe support.

and as far as "big brother spying", that's nonsense.  adobe can't even determine if users actually use adobe apps, or not.  ie, while adobe requires signing in to use their apps, it appears they don't save that info or use that info other than at the time an adobe app is opened.

I think I'm in the same Universe but perhaps a different planet, solar system, but not metaverse, you are in. The ways in which Adobe "file" organization alone is inexplicably not-even-counter-intuitive simply wrong, including their MAIN statement "all your files in one place" ... I'm not even gonna refute other than to say "see: 'Files' vs. 'Libraries.'" I don't have emotions about this PROGRAM...there's obvious a massive disconnect between those who create different tools (e.g., acrobat pro, illustrator, etc etc), "creative cloud," and I don't think they likely HAVE (if they do no one listens to them) anyone working on "integration" of all these things which for all apperances createive cloud (web app ...wait...right thta's super confusing, too) and the marketing people...lol it's maybe not even them like they get different answers from different people I'm sure and go with whatever "the boss" says "the files are all in one place, yes." I've found enough people complaining about file sites/orgranization/cloud/syncing/computer files locations I'm not gonna rewrite that stuff other than to say this: I'm not a power user of anything. I'm a jack of all problems and I figured out enough about how the file organization works and it simply "doesn't work" as in what was intended in concept clearly doesn't exist. I suspect having said that it's a combination of a failure of planning combined with a failure of execution. That tells me that it's leadership...any people actually programming different "tools" (web based or app/desktop based programs) it's not you (unless you are the "creative cloud" people but then either you have zero power to create or implement a working plan or did the best you can in a balkanzed collection of projects you were tasked with making into a coherent organized product. I suspect there was a "I did the best I can (short of quitting which I'm not suggesting you should have it's a classic wait do I try to make it as best I can within these constraints or let them make it worse without me?" situation likely. There are few other people who don't let's say work in adobe for most of their work/life (and few of them I'm sure as most are silo'd in their one area of work) who actually understand the "cloud achitecture" (not programming ... like "Files" vs. Libraries" type stuff), how disconnnected each program is from the other including FROM creative cloud desktop OR cloud (I could not without a deep investigation it appears or brute force method such as forcing a one by one file download and then uploading to my cloud only crreative cloud library - which I wouldn't as that's not a 'synced file' area it apperas...I mean the caveats of the caveats here...it's hard to wrap one's mind around just HOW bizarrely disconnected Adobe's organiational systems are in the context of the appearance of a "all files in one place and surely I can sync those if I want?" system (creative cloud app/website). So I say this: if it took me this much work to figure out things to the point I have...I'm not a programmer but I am the one who solves all the problems or determines that they aren't problems that no one else sees as questions or even sees often...if this is where I am, it's simply at this point, given all the feedback I see they have gotten from others as above many of whom haven't figured out what the answer was (I found the answers to many of my "major" areas of confusing/questions ... and that the answer is it's hard and cconfusing to use even if you figure out how to use it), this is simply not a good "cloud" organization system or good file system of any type. Individual programs can be fine but if I don't even realize which files I left somewhere which unless I know and rememeber where and HOW to look I'll never bump into again (?)...if this is where I am I know almost all others are frustrated and don't get it. Finally, so, what do those people do? They find a concrete SINGLE way to do things that is likely very different from anyone else's single concrete way they had to figure out to survive using these systems. And the result is the opposite of everything implied and intended by what I came into this a few years ago reading and being excited that adobe maybe had done here. Adobe is repsonsive? Which Adobe which person which program? Because as a whole, clearly not. And again (and if anyone wants to ad hominym attack my grammer etc please don't? I'm trying here without spending extra hours to un-gaslight the OP and others from what I've learned), this level of disconnect is a company leadership->culture/systems problem NOT a Ai or Acrobat or whatever programmer problem who are amazing (do cool things I can't but have fun playing with...it ain't you it's a 'your boss's...boss's boss problem').

I followed the guidelines...I am being unkind if anything to someone who was not kind to thousands then millions of others...perhaps it's a combinatio of people at the top?

If Adobe wants to be responsive here's what in short is needed: all my files are in one place or can see the "parent" folders/libraries of all my files connected in one place you get me, ON the cloud from ALL the different programs, and 2) it's easy (one step or a couple at best but then happens automatically) IF I wish all the files sync to whatever hard drive or other file server I wish. I appreciate your products I don't appreciate the time I spent realizing this doesn't exist (some will say of cousre it does simply do this then that then this etc...that's not "existing" ... like, modestly intuitively works for most reasaonable computer users wiling to invest a modicum of up front learning to get the hang of things. Thank you.

imo, the easiest way to think about adobe cc files is as 3 completely different and unrelated components; document, libraries and sync'd files.

here's basic info:  https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/about-cloud-documents.html

then for more info go here and check the beginner (if applicable) tutorials for cc useage and then advanced, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/tutorials-explore.html

Hey thanks and nice if applicable (I'm not being snarky tone is hard in writing truly I am noting the extra respectful steps). I will (not today) go through those and see how I can make my life easeir. Essentially the "3 unrelated components" is what I spent many hours over a few years discovering to my dismay and if possible can we upvote pin that reply you just made to the top of everything? (notonly creative cloud). Again I'll rereview think I got most of it sure there are some pearls to sidestep or quickstep some things which have been super frustrating but more so that for those who didn't realize that yet (their statements vs. that reality) which lead me and I'm sure others to keep wondering "what am I missing" .. and the answeer in other words is: I understand, and it's not good, but now (and I'll know better after scrutinizaing those links) I'll be super careful with anything that touches adobe. ALSO, I will have questions about how to optimally do that. and I'll pin/follow you (?) here or will come back to this thread if optimal/possible, since I know you (and lilely Henrik I'm not against anyone I'm against gaslighting and hours of life I won't get back and everyone elses lost time as well. You... just you've said the elephant in the "cloud" (I can't even make that joke since then you can ask "which cloud system/components?" (Lol). Thanks again!

No, the easiest way to think about Adobe CC cloud storage, is as something to avoid, and get a proper cloud storage that actually works properly and across all your software. Then think of it no more.
