I was briefly excited when a scroll bar actually appeared in the list of activated fonts in Creative Cloud. Then it disappeared again. It's done this repeatedly, but never long enough to actually use it. After the outcry I was pleased to see that the new 'improved" Acrobat has its scroll bar. Should we start shouting again to get Adobe to add one to the fonts list? Not as exciting to program as AI perhaps, but certainly considerably more useful.

I get the frustration the disappearing scroll bar in the Creative Cloud font list is definitely not ideal. I’ve noticed the same thing myself: it shows up when I start scrolling with the mouse, and I can grab it and scroll, but yeah, it vanishes pretty quickly. Not the smoothest experience.
That said, just to clarify it's not that features like scroll bars are being ignored in favour of trendier tech like AI. The thing is, Adobe’s apps and services are all developed by separate teams. The Creative Cloud desktop app has its own team, separate from the ones working on Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and so on. Each of these teams has their own roadmap, priorities and timelines based on the needs and feedback for that specific app or platform.
So while Acrobat got its scroll bar update recently, that doesn’t necessarily mean the Creative Cloud app will get the same treatment at the same time even if it feels like a basic UI fix. Different teams, different goals, different implementation techniques.
That said, user feedback absolutely helps. If enough people speak up like what happened with Acrobat changes do happen. So if this is something you'd like fixed, it’s always worth submitting feedback directly. The more noise, the more likely it’ll be addressed.

Ah, Mr.. Slow on the Uptake here didn't think of that. Thanks. I've checked them out; look like a good idea. Does it have to be synced to the computer somehow? I'll google that, too.

I"m sorry if my last comment was somehow offensive, but I honestly don't see how.

That's what I meant by using the word "here," I meant myself as Mr. Slow on the Uptake, which I often am.

Mouse with wheel is an option but not all mouse devices have one. One mouse I have definitely doesn't.
Alternatively there's a search function. And you might be able to use the keyboard arrow keys I haven't tried but maybe.
Once you spot where the scroll bar is it is possible to grab it and move it.
It could definitely do with some improvement.
