Microsoft force upgraded me to 24H2 by not letting me postpone it any longer. Now when I try to edit my portfolio I get "Access to www.myportfolio.com was denied" or nothing at all depending on the browser. I really need to make some changes. Is there a fix for this?
Thanks,
Dale

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/
p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

Thanks. Been there. Done that. I put in a request a earlier. I tried help earlier as well, and if the answer is there it's fairly well hidden. I am sure it is 24H2 related because the problem started when my desktop was upgraded by MS to 24H2, and I don't have the problem with my laptop which has not been upgraded yet. Before the upgrade they both worked.

you need to allow 1-2 weeks for a portfolio response.

Wow. I guess portfolio is pretty much at the bottom of the list. That's a long delay. I guess they don't consider Portfolio to be mission critical for anyone. But then it does have such an opaque and clunky interface that I can't see anyone using it long term.

Portfolio support works M-F. I usually get an email reply within 24-48 hours. Check your spam folder.
To be honest, this sounds more like aggressive security settings resulting from your recent Windows update. If Portfolio is being blocked by your browser, it's likely that other sites are being blocked, too.
- Which browser are you using?
- Have you tried using another browser that doesn't block scripts or have VPN enabled?
If your Microsoft Edge browser suddenly can't access websites after a Windows update, it's likely due to a network configuration issue, cache problems, or potential conflicts with extensions. Try restarting your computer, clearing your browsing data, checking your network security settings, and disabling extensions to resolve the issue.

So far I haven't found other sites blocked. However, I did get a reply to my ticket and it asked if I had a VPN. I tried turning it off and voila, I had access again. Of course running without my VPN is not a fix, and it works fine with my VPN on my laptop with 23H2. But at least there is something that might help pinpoint why Portfolio and Microsoft are not playing together nicely.

Are desktop & laptop on the same VPN with same settings?

Yes. Both use Windscribe VPN with the same settings.

I got the automated mail asking me to mark which response was correct. In a sense I suppose they all are, but none are the answer to specifically what is causing the problem or what to do about it.
I am hoping to hear further from the ticket I placed. Their first reply said it was simply Adobe blocking the VPN. I replied that If it were simply that Adobe was blocking a VPN, then why would Adobe block that VPN on one PC (my desktop running 24H2) but never block it on another with identical VPN settings (my laptop but running Windows 23H2)? Yes, the two IP addresses will be different but they are in the same block from the same VPN provider site, and remain consistent until the VPN is turned off and has to reconnect.
On the other hand, I understand that Microsoft has changed security requirements in 24H2. From what I’ve read it will now view certain websites as potentially dangerous that it did not before, requiring that such websites be updated in some way. However, if that were the cause, then one would think the desktop with 24H2 would be blocked whether the VPN were on or off?
Thus, there is something about the interaction here that causes neither answer above to seem to make sense to me as the cause. It’s important because VPN is part of my (and many other people’s) standard computer security.

Obviously, your laptop & desktop are configured differently. That goes beyond the scope of THIS product community.

I'm not sure what you mean by configured differently as they use the same VPN, the same server location, the same protocol. Of course they'll have different IP addresses. Nonetheless, as more detail has come to light about exactly what's going on, I agree that Adobe and Microsoft technical people need to work this out. Thus we are in agreementt that there's nothing more this forum can do. I do appreciate all the suggestions offered.
