Adobe Creative Cloud: deleted files without anyone deleting them

Hi Community, I hope someone could help. Since about two month we are facing a daily issue. We are missing files in the creative cloud that have been there the day before. Then someone form our team finds it in his/her bin. But no one deleted the files. We see files in the bin every day with out any one deleting files. 
Does anyone have the same problem?
We have some colleagues who are using an external drive for synchronization with the creative cloud due to file sizes. Could this cause this problem?

yes, using an external/removeable drive for the cc sync folder can cause problems.
