In the tab to edit page info, for any given page, there is an option to put in the page date. It then also displays this date when you hover over said page cover.

I don't want this date to show up at all. Is there any way to remove it completely?

I see no option to turn it off

If dates are removed, do a hard refresh of your browser's cached memory  -- Ctrl+F5 or Ctrl+R. Or try using another browser.
