Can you install two different patched versions of the same app?

I want to have an app installed twice on my PC. The most current one and an older version, both of its 2020 version. I only managed to do with with different yearly-versions.

Specifically, I want After Effects 7.0.2 and the latest 7.1.1

If anyone is asking why, any version after 7.0.2 reads Prores files wrong, creating colorshift and unusable Alpha channels.
