I have the same problem and it doesn't help at all that you´ve emailed all these people with the same issue. Why don't you just write the answer here in the forum? I don't see the point in not resolving the problem here when the questions are almost exactly the same. I've stored my copies in iCloud when importing to Lightroom and still Lightroom keep telling me I'm out of space in Creative Cloud. I would like to know what the problem is and what I can do, please.

Sorry if I sound angry, but I am. 🙂

Hi Lottie,

Glad to hear the storage usage makes more sense. There are three Adobe cloud storage places

Creative Cloud Files - Product project files

Lightroom Online  - Online images/editing

Document Cloud - PDF and Acrobat files

I think only the first two would apply to you if you have the photography plan.

You can download the images which are stored in the Lightroom Online storage if you're not wanting to continue membership. I'm not an expert on how to go about doing that though, so you might want

Hi David,

Thank you for your answer! Sorry I was a bit angry!

I followed your link but there’s nothing in my Archives; no files, nothing archived, nothing in the library, no space used. Like I wrote earlier, I store everything in my iCloud. What can I do now? I only signed up for Creative Cloud Photography yesterday evening and now I can’t use Lightroom because of this.

Greatful for your help,

Lottie

Hi Dave!

Nope, that did not work., there´s nothing there to empty.

Can this problem have something to do with me first using the trial version and the photos I then imported is stored in some trial-cloud that I can't see?

I really don't know what to do. I've had Lightroom for years but that old version didn't work on my new computer and I first thought this new rental way too expensive. After trying several alternatives and realizing I simply can't work without Lightroom and Photoshop. Also 60% of my photo library is dng and that seems to work with Adobe only. So, now stuck between a rock and a hard place, can you please help me?

Thanks for checking the Archive Lottie,

The storage used is for Creative Cloud Files (including the archive) and Lightroom online. If nothing is used on the Creative Cloud Files side could you check the Lightroom side?

If you have a large number of photos here: Photo Editor | Online Photoshop Lightroom that could also account for the usage

There it was! Thank you! I didn't realize there was more than one "cloud". Is there another for Photoshop as well?

But here comes the next problem; if I delete the online Lightroom library I might lose my photos, so am I now forced to upgrade Creative cloud although I already have another cloud? My head aches, as well as that hole in my pocket where money keeps seeping through...

Can I export the library?

Thanks for helping!

You can download the images which are stored in the Lightroom Online storage if you're not wanting to continue membership. I'm not an expert on how to go about doing that though, so you might want to post for assistance in the Lightroom CC forum. I'd just post that you have photos stored here Photo Editor | Online Photoshop Lightroom and ask what are your options for downloading them to be stored locally on your computer rather than online.

Thank You!

I'll take my problems to the Lightroom CC forum and hope for the best. The solution to this should´ve been to delete the Lightroom trial version – after removing all photos from that first library – before signing up for Creative Photography plan and then to download Lightroom CC once again and start anew. A little warning pop-up from Adobe when trying to swap between trial and bought wouldn't have hurt I think.

Sorry for my SwEnglish, hope it's understandable anyway! Thank you for helping me!
