Creative Cloud keeps opening after I've closed it to sync files

Creative Cloud keeps lauching itself after I've closed it with Cmd+Q, where it shows the syncing menu to tell me that syncing has either failed or some other message. Is there a way I can disable this or turn off automatic syncing because I don't use Adobe Document Cloud.
