Double click library item not opening file. But opens expanded view

Double clicking a library item should open the file in its program. Not opening an expanded view of the item with data dat is uneccesary.

Now i have to right click, then edit. Or double click on item and on de edit icon. Stop slowing down the workflow with these updates!

I'm seeing the same thing.  Both on Photoshop 22.2.0 and Illustrator 25.2 running on Windows 10 64-bit.

Double-click used to open libraby assets.  Now it expands instead.  So to open you have to double-click then edit, or right-click and edit.  What used to be one step to open is now two.  Kind of irritating but I guess I'll get used to it...  Noticed the changed a few days ago.

Completely agree - it's slowed down my process so much. Just as annoying as the shift resize thing they changed a while back. Please change this back adobe. And while you're at it, could you please be able to eye drop the colours in your library. Please and thank you
