sometime in the past i had an adobe account on my main email, i deleted an email on adobe. I wanted to add the email to my active account and it still tells me that the email is in use. it has been taking about 14 days .Please help me..

I think that once an email address is used on an account, and that account is deleted, a new account may not use that previously used email address.
