Issues uploading a custom font

I have both .otf and .ttf files of a font I have been trying to upload to my Creative Cloud for 2 days now. It shows installed to my cloud on the 'Add Fonts to CC' page, but when I go to the 'activate fonts' page, it will not show up. I'm using a 2019 Macbook Air that is up to date with both the OS and CC. Not sure if anyone else is experiencing this issue as well but most of the solutions I found online were either years old or unsuccessful in resolving the issue.

Things I have tried:

  • toggling the Adobe Font service in preferences
  • deleting and reinstalling the font(s)
  • logging out of CC and logging back in
  • restarting my computer
  • Updating CC

Thanks, J_rinker. Usage rights are part of the coding of the font, the fact that it fails to sync means that the rights are being interpreted as restricted.  Please see https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/add-your-fonts-to-creative-cloud.html under the section, "I am unable to upload my font. What could be the issue," section for more information.

J_rinker, which font foundry produced the font you are trying to utilize?  What usage rights have been given by the font foundry for the use of the font?  Finally, what is the font's name that you are trying to add to your Creative Cloud membership?

It is a customized font called Tomahawk made by a Reddit member who shared it for free use. https://www.reddit.com/r/KansasCityChiefs/comments/crrkzi/after_about_a_year_of_offandon_work_its_fi...

I have no intention of using it for monetary or commercial use either. I'm a graphic design student and am wanting to use this font for project and education purposes only.
