I like other photographers have Photoshop and Lightroom on my Laptop and my Desktop.

I recently went away to a remote location and Photoshop wouldnt work as I couldnt connect to the internet.  Yet I had used photoshop the day before I went AND I was "signed in" to Photoshop.  The same thing screwed up a photojournalist friend in his recent trip to Cuba... lightroom wouldnt open.

I have googled this and found that this is affecting many.  I called Adobe help who suggested I bought the now pre-historic Adobe CS6 as this is the only way that you can guarantee it will work off line.

The Adobe developers it seemed that the only way it will work off line is if one takes the action to sign into Adobe Creative Cloud "once in a while".  This is BS made up by developers who have never left their desks.

I am now looking for an alternative.  Clearly for Adobe the customer comes last.  Feel free to moan to Adobe, the only communication I am interested in is a direct email from Adobe apologising to all affected and saying they have changed their protocols.  Obviously if one were to stop paying then Photoshop would stop working the moment it was connected to the web.  So how many people really sign up for a software subscription and never connect to the web again (a deeply unlikely scenario, but one I suspect is at the route of this 3rd rate protocol).
