Portfolio theme won't restore to its default

The instructions say to select to "Restore to default Theme..." in the theme choices page. Says  returning theme to its default, but there seems to be no change, leaving me stuck.

I filed a support inquiry but haven't gotten a response beyond an automated reply. The resources above don't speak to how to address the issue of a site/theme not returning to default, even after following instructions for doing so.

 

Can you offer anything helpful to speak to that concern? TIA
