Potentially malicious file in Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool

On this link here (https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/kb/elements-installation-error-CC-cleaner-tool.html) you can download the Adobe CC Cleaner Tool, which when scanned in Virus Total, comes up as a trojan according to three of their scanners. The Adobe CC Cleaner Tool served on other locations of the Adobe website, comes up as clean.

 

What's going on with this particular file and why is it being distributed to customers?

that's a virus total problem or you're not downloading from adobe.com

I see the issue. It's only the Windows .exe file which is affected. The Mac .dmg file is clean.

All three scanners flag different files which suggests false positives by each. I'm certain Adobe will say the file is 100% clean.

 

To take his further would be a matter of referring the results to the scanner vendors for verification and comment.
