"Unable to reach Adobe servers" message on computer wake - macOS

Adobe CC installed and activated, all applications in use work as expected. However, whenever my computer wakes from sleep, the Adobe CC icon in the menu bar shows an error alert (red exclamation point) and the app when opened reports "Unable to reach Adobe servers". When I click "retry" it immediately connects and the alert clears. It's not a problem per se but it's certainly annoying that CC is reporting a problem repeatedly. I can't understand what would cause this - why is the app unable to contact servers until I tell it to try again? No change in network access, just waking the computer from sleep. macOS 11.2.3
