What about mail@mail.adobe.com - is it legit or a scam? I just got one for the first time today, so I really would like to know the answer. I don't use adobe all that much anyways. Thank you!

It is not possible to say. It's not the right way to look at it... Anyone can send an email from any address. So you cannot EVER trust an email by looking who it says its from. It's no more reliable than a written address on a letter.
It's like if you had a letter with "1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20500" at the top. Does the president of the USA live there? Yes, he does. So this is genuinely from the president? You see the problem. It's not the right way to look at it.

Adobe is cleaning house -- removing unused/forgotton accounts and assets from their servers.
Server storage space costs money. When you have 22 million customers, those storage costs are massive. They want you to keep deleted folders free of old files which makes perfect sense. If you don't do it manually, they'll do it for you in 30 days.
