Hi I need some help. I have downloaded adobe CC And i dont have enough space on C drive. So i changed the deafult location in setting on Creative Cloud.But whenever i try to install any Adobe Software from CC the space goes to C i dont know why i have changed the location but idont understand HELP
Haris, I am sorry, but the drive that contains the operating system will continue to be used to store files for the download and install process, regardless of the location you specified for the install location.

Defragment primary HD
Dont if its a SSD drive. It will shorten lifespan.

Some sources spread the inaccurate rumor that defragmenting and cleaning your hard drive will not make it last as long. The idea behind that statement is that since you are rewriting files to the disk when you defragment, you are putting more wear and tear on the hard drive than necessary, thus shortening its lifespan. This is simply not true.
Since the hard drive is mechanical, it will naturally gain some wear and tear over time. There is nothing a user can do to stop this. However, there is not a specific number of times files can be written to the hard drive before the whole thing stops working.
Defragmenting does not put extra wear and tear on your hard drive, but because of its performance boosting effects; it will actually make your hard drive perform better. By putting all the files closer together and reducing the amount of space the hard drive’s “needle” has to travel, defragmenting can actually help your hard drive last longer before a mechanical failure.
The same can be said for cleaning up old files. By getting rid of old files and defragmenting the files you actually use, helps keep your files compact and easier for your hard drive to access.
I never suggested running Defrag everyday. But used occasionally as part of a regular housekeeping regimen, it's perfectly safe.

No it's not. Defrag is no more lifespan shortening to SSD's than moving and writing files which we do everyday with regular computer usage. Fortunately, it's not necessary to defrag them often because they are more efficient. But when used correctly, defrag is not the SSD boogeyman.

I have the same issue - not enough space. Currently looking to upgrade desktop, what operating system /storage should i be looking for in order to run all the apps in Creative Cloud?

Please ensure your computer meets or exceeds the minimum system requirements to run Creative Cloud + all other apps you intend to use. Check each one.

Depending on workflow, you may need more than these bare bones recommendations. For example, your operating system alone could require 4GB of RAM + 12.5GB of storage.
