Question
Does anyone know what will happen when I turn off CCXProcess?
CCXprocess is consuming so much CPU that I am going to disable it (then uninstall) it.
Research
I have read: https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/adobe-background-processes.html.
- Not helpful.
Other articles/posts returned by search are less helpful/relvant.
Environment
- Win10 10.0.19042 build 19042
- Creative Cloud 5.3.1.470
- Apps 5.3.1.470
- CoreSync 4.5.0.6
- CCX Process 4.1.3.1
- CC Library 3.9.27.3
- Ps 22.1.1
- Lr 10.1.1 2101041610-8c69aa4e
- ACR 13.1
- Creative Cloud Desktop is disabled (and will be uninstalled)
More generally
Is it possible to run Ps and Lr Classic WITHOUT ANY of the creative cloud applications?
- Manual updates are fine.
- Creative cloud services (storage, stock, sync, et al.) are not useful.
Thanks,

Testing now
The computer runs much faster with CCXprocess disabled and without loss of functionality. It also boots faster.
Caveat: I do not use any cloud stuff.
