Cannot see the list of my active Adobe Fonts in the CC Desktop App

Hi together,

that's all I get when I try to list my activated fonts from Adobe Fonts in my Creative Cloud Desktop App. German Windows 10 operating system.

AllFontsAreLoaded.PNG

This "Adobe Fonts are about to load" message will show for hours and will come not to an end.

However, I can see my activated Adobe Fonts when I'm logged in at https://fonts.adobe.com/ .

Logging out and in to the Creative Cloud Desktop App will not help. Also a restart of my machine will not help. I have no idea how long this issue already persists. I rarely use Adobe Fonts. Can only tell that I see this issue for about a week or so.

The issue is not critical for me, but I wanted to show my students how Adobe Fonts are actually working. As it seems this is broken. At least for me. Or is it a problem within a specific region? I logged in from Germany.

Thank you for any hints.

did you do both sign out of cc app > quit the cc app > restart your computer > open cc and sign in?

if so and that failed, there's a win 10 update bug (or incorrect setting) causing a lot of "no internet connection" errors while there is an active internet connection. see if it applies to you. https://lifehacker.com/how-to-fix-windows-10s-latest-no-internet-connection-bu-1844458254 https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-networking/windows-10-says-i-have-no-in...

Hi kglad,

thank you for the links!

What finally helped was to do this again today:

[1] Sign out of CC Desktop App

[2] Shut down the machine ( a simple restart did not do it the last time I tried )

[3] After a while boot up the machine

[4] Open and sign in to CC Desktop App

However, activation of the fonts still is running. Message:

"Erneute Aktivierung läuft…"

Don't know how long this should take.

So I can only guess it was not the mentioned bug in Windows 10 perhaps.

I'm on Windows 10 Pro, version 2004, build 19041.630, Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.31.0.

Thanks,

if that seems to run indefinitely, try resetting the cc app:

To reset the Creative Cloud desktop app, make sure it's in the foreground, then press:

Win: Ctrl + Alt + R
Mac: Cmd + Opt + R

if that fails, try to repair
https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/creative-cloud-install-stuck.html

if that fails go ahead and uninstall/reinstall per the above link

if that fails, do a clean cc install following each applicable step:

uninstall every cc app including preferences, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-remove-app.html
then uninstall the cc desktop app, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html
clean your computer of cc files per http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html
check for, and if available, update your os
restart your computer (don't skip this)
reinstall the cc desktop app, https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud.
if you're unable to install the cc desktop app at this stage, use an administrator account (solution 4 here, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/creative-cloud-missing-damaged.html)
use the desktop app to install your cc programs/trials

FWIW: After about an hour CC Desktop App is still not showing my activated fonts as active.

Just as "about to be activated" ( "Erneute Aktivierung läuft…" ).

But this message from the CC Desktop App is misleading. I can access the fonts without issues in e.g. InDesign 2021. For a little test I deactivated all activated ones at https://fonts.adobe.com . Then activated some of them again. No problem. InDesign is catching up the status every time I'm changing something.

Wheras CC Desktop App still is showing the message "Erneute Aktivierung läuft…". As one hour ago.

As I already said, this is not critical to me. So I give up testing anything for now…
