CC for teams storage sync is very slow

We have recently started using the on line storage facility with the CC for teams licences we have.

The plan being that several users can work on the same project at the same time.

However, we are finding that syncing of the files is taking a very long time, making the collaboration aspect unworkable.

As an example, we have 3 users set to collaborate on a project, all assets are uploaded and synced to the cloud initially, all can access the project folder from their own machine/account.

Our problem comes when someone makes a small update to a file (Lets say an InDesign file) and that change might be a small update of text.

As it's only a small change you would expect that to sync with the shared project folder very quickly (We have a very good internet connection here), but we are finding that sync can take anywhere between 5-20 mins before any of the other users can access the latest, amended version.

The sync progress will state syncing 19 of 1120 files (For example) as though it is checking all files in the cloud storage first?

I'm not sure what options there are to force sync just the updated file, rather than checking the whole project folder?

A text support conversation with Adobe support yesterday gave no answers to this issue and suggested the sync time was normal.

If that's the case, the collaboration feature of the on-line storage isn't fit for purpose?

Does anyone have any experience to suggest if there is a different/better way to use this service, so multiple users can work on the same project at the same time - And not have to wait a long time for changes to be sync'd?

Thanks in advance for any support

Ian

Hi Mr. Ian,

Did you try to connect to a different network and check?

Have you referred to the help documents below:

Error: "Unable to sync files"

Hi Sheena,

Thanks very much for your reply.

I've looked thru the links you posted, but can find no resolution to our issue.

The Creative Cloud Connection Preview app doesn't seem to be available at the moment, not sure if this would help, but will keep checking back on that link.

The only thing I need to try is connecting from a different network as you suggest, so will try that this evening and see what happens, I guess that would at least rule out a conflict with our internal network settings.

Thanks,

Ian
