I'm on a project where I'm switching between using my personal computer and a company (public) system. I'd like to be able to sign into and out of my CC account on the public computer and delete my files when I sign out for security purposes. However, if I just sign out then delete the files, or pause syncing then sign out and delete, it creates a problem. The problem is that when I sign back into the public computer it recognizes that I've deleted the files and deletes them from my CC account, so I have to restore the files from archive. Is there a better way? If not I'll just stop using file sync.
Got it to work. When I left the public computer I disabled file syncing,
then signed out and deleted the folder that CC files were in. Then when I
came back I created a new folder with a different name, signed in, move the
CC file folder to the new folder, and enabled syncing. All my files were
downloaded correctly in minutes.

Hi Chris,
When you sign back in on public computer creative cloud would try to sync so Turning off file sync on public machine is safest option. You can also try to rename /Delete Creative Cloud folder after sign out from public folder, therefore next time when you will log in to creative cloud on public machine would take it as new machine and would not recognize that you have deleted files. And you can always use USB sticks.
Hope it Helps !!
