Installing CC and related apps with an amended install location

I've been scouring the internet for hours and trying to contact support about this one but after reading many community posts I thought it best to just post here.

When I set up my computers I like to have my OS on a small drive and everything else on a larger drive, even to the point of diverting the program files directory via RegEdit (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion)
What I've found however, is that Creative Cloud and other adobe apps REALLY don't like this... All of my other programs have no issue with it whatsoever, but CC just doesn't play ball.

Becuase CC has no option to change the install path I couldn't easily set it to install back on my C drive, and therefor had to revert my RegEdit settings back to C:, which worked and let me install Photoshop, however upon then changing RegEdit back to D:, Creative Cloud no longer opens properly, and Photoshop gives me a parsing error when trying to launch.

I know it's a fairly unique case for any kind of support, and I really wish Adobe allowed for install to be more flexible by either allowing CC to be installed elsewhere other than C:, or to at least make it work if the ProgramFiles directory path is changed.

Any assistance with this is greatly appreciated, preferebly I'd rather not move ProgramFiles back to C as default becuase I don't want to reinstall everything I already have on here.

Realising now this maybe belongs in the Download/Install category, I don't know if a moderator can move this?

It is possible, but SOME parts must go on the boot drive

Thank you for the reply.
I have tried installing adobe CC on the boot drive, which is the part that needs to be on boot, but then switching my RegEdit back to use D:\... for future installs, it then does not open CC correctly.

FIXED:

For anyone searching in the future having the same issue, I managed to fix this by changing the common files directories back to C:
