I have some 20 year old files which are have the .PDD extension - photo files. I beleive they were generated by a very early version of Photoshop. If I click on the file Photoshop is started up but the files won't open. How do I open a file with a .PDD extension?
Any help would be gratefully received. Thanks. Frank54

Seems like something that you might be able to open with an online converter. There are a few I see on a search, but be wary of spyware, etc., especially if you'reon a PC. Looks to be a PhotoDeluxe file - that has similar properties, paths, layers, text, etc. If i were trying to exhaust everything before trying a website service, I would attempt importing into Illustrator, Photoshop and all the other handling programs, maybe even Bridge. Good luck!

Hi and thanks! I persevered with Photoshop and managed to find a way of opening the "lost" files and then saving tham as .PSD All sorted and I am very gretful. Took a while as I couldn't convert multiple files in a block but all done now.
