Settting Sync Options in Creative Cloud Services

Creative Cloud Services and Library Sync in relation to other Sync Applications. Such as Google Drive and OneDrive Sync Applications which offer the user to download only content that is currently being used by the client/user. This option will save the user an amount of data avaible in a library but not locally installed / downloaded to the client. Some libraries especially with photos tent to beccome really huge. The time it takes to download all files to become avaible in Adobe Creative Cloud Suite can take up a significant amount of time. Please consider these preview files not to be available in the Apps and will download all files in a directory even if you set the settings of your sync application to download only files that you are workig with.
 
Customize your sync settings to get the most out of the Creative Cloud syncing feature. To get started, sign in to your Creative Cloud desktop app. Please update the sync application notfiication that the features which saves the user space on a client machine will no longer be available to them because the file system requires all the content to be downloaded before you see or use them in Adobe products.
 
Change location of the sync folder (Pls do not include other Sync Folder from other Sync Applications)

You need to allow the syncing process to complete before changing the folder location.

 

Open the Creative Cloud desktop app. (Click the icon in your Windows taskbar or the macOS menu bar.)

 

  • Click Syncing in the sidebar and click the edit icon 

     
  • Choose the location where you want to move the local version of the Creative Cloud files folder.

  • Click Done to save your changes.

     

    Once the location is changed, the folder and files are automatically moved to the new location. 

Manage sync transfer speed
 

The Creative Cloud desktop app lets you manage the transfer speed of your files, both when they are uploaded online and when they are downloaded locally. You can adjust the transfer speed according to the available bandwidth.

 

  • Open the Creative Cloud desktop app. (Click the icon in your Windows taskbar or the macOS menu bar.)

  • Click Syncing in the sidebar and select an option from each drop-down list for Download transfer speed and Upload transfer speed.

    Click Done to apply your changes.

     

    Pause and resume file sync

     

If you have bandwidth issues, you can pause the automatic syncing of your files and resume at a better time. 

  • Open the Creative Cloud desktop app. (Click the icon in your Windows taskbar or the macOS menu bar.)

    Click the gear icon in the upper-right corner.

  • Click Syncing from the preferences pop-up window. To pause or resume the syncing of files, click Pause syncing or Resume syncing, respectively.Pause or resume syncing

You will need to consider the application requirements when the file system will ask the content to be downloaded before you see or use them in Adobe products.
Change location of the sync folder (Pls do not include other Sync Folder from other Sync Applications) If you Sync your Adobe Files to a Google Drive Location or a OneDrive location you will store the content twice. This however will allow you to see the difference between downloaded content using the setting from Google Drive and OneDrive as it will not download all the content of your creative cloud account.
Please consider to only do this and avoid data loss when you have multiple sync applications running and backing up eachothers content.
