Some Files Failed to Sync - desktop to cloud

Hiya

Indesign and pdf files that I add to the cloud appear and sync in the 'creative cloud files' folder on my mac - that works fine.

However, the problem is when I add files to the same 'creative cloud files' folder on my mac I get the red warning triangles on the files and they won't appear on the cloud?

I've tried all the suggestions on the forum and its not file naming etc..

am I being really thick? its driving me nuts!

thanks, G

Hi,

So your workflow of uploading files to the Creative Cloud website work ok, these then sync down to your Mac computer?.

The workflow of adding files to your Creative Cloud folder on your Mac syncing to the Creative Cloud website is not working?

Thanks

Ok,

So the issue is actually uploading from desktop to Creative Cloud. Have you got any Firewalls or Antivirus in operation where your computer is?. It sounds like something is blocking you from uploading.

Can you send me your log files?. You can find them in the following locations:

Mac:

/Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CoreSync

Windows:

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CoreSync

'Library' on Mac and 'AppData' on Windows are both hidden folders. Please read these pages for help on showing these folders:

http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/show-hidden-files-folders-extensions.html (Win)

https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/access-hidden-user-library-files.html (Mac)

Please send upload them to Creative Cloud and send me a link at harress@adobe.com

Thanks

Hi Gary.

Thanks for sending in your log files. I can see a few issues already.

  • Connectivity in remote monitoring: Cannot start file monitoring: Network Error. (kCFErrorDomainCFNetwork 2) Host Unknown. (null).

There seems to be something on your Macbook Pro or network stopping you from connecting to Creative Cloud. Maybe a anti virus, entry in your host file? or your ISP?, do you use wifi? if the connection slow or very weak?.

The second issue is.

  • qlStatement::prepare: error is 'SQL logic error or missing database

I am unsure how this managed to happen. We can use the Creative Cloud menu with a keyboard short cut to rebuild the database.

This can be done by Shift + Click on "View on Website" menu item in the context menu, This will also clear the journal and errors table in the local database file.

Let me know if this helps your issues.

Thanks

hi, done the Shift + Click on "View on Website" thing, but files are not syncing still, also wifi is fast and fine, I have clam xav antivirus but its not running, I only use the mac security from apple that you get with iOS/safari. My google drive cloud files work ok, only creative cloud I'm having trouble with. If there is an 'anti virus in my host file' what do i have to do to fix it?

Hi,

Can you tell me what file Creative Cloud could not sync? did Creative Cloud display a list of the files that were not able to sync?. Let us try another shortcut this time.

  • Ctrl + Shift + Click on "View on Website" menu item in the context menu (this will Force Sync Restart + Force full journal listing + Archive the CCF folder. This will also archive the contents of the current Creative Cloud Files folder, allowing re-download of all assets from Creative Cloud.)

Thanks

Hi Gary,

If this issue remains can you please follow the instructions below to manually delete your database.

  1. Quit Creative Cloud down.
  2. Navigate to Macintosh HD ▸ Users ▸ yourusername ▸ Library ▸ Application Support ▸ CoreSync
  3. Delete the file ending with .db
  4. Restart Creative Cloud.

'Library' on Mac and 'AppData' on Windows are both hidden folders. Please read these pages for help on showing these folders:
