What should I save on CC Desktop, do I save the main file, alias, or a copy of it?

Hello,

I am just concerned about saving some stuff on CC. I have plenty of files there but I still do not know what I should do.

Example:

I am working on a file on InDesign CC, then I save it to the CC Desktop folder... now, if for some reason, I don't have CC any more, will that file be gone? Or are they also saved on my computer?

Do I make a copy on my computer and save one copy on CC desktop folder? Or an alias?

Thank you.

David,

Your Creative Cloud files are stored on your desktop as well as on the Creative Cloud servers. If you cancel or downgrade your paid membership, you will still have access to all of the files in the Creative Cloud folder on your computer and via the Creative Cloud website.

You are not required to store your files in the cloud. You can save your files on your local hard drive, usb drive, etc.  Your Creative Cloud membership does come with cloud storage that you can choose to use for backups

You are not required to store your files in the cloud. You can save your files on your local hard drive, usb drive, etc.  Your Creative Cloud membership does come with cloud storage that you can choose to use for backups, link sharing, folder collaboration, and more. The Creative Cloud for desktop application makes it easy to synchronize your local files with your Creative Cloud storage, so if you choose to sync your files to Creative Cloud, you’ll still retain a local copy of your files.
